My dad is an interior contractor, he do a lot of work which is close relationship with interior design. My dad do shows me a lot of the plan, working drawings and even bringing me to run the site. He did not ask me or forced me to take which subject in my future, I still remember what he had told me when I was young, he said "I have no idea about what are you going to choose for your further study, and I have not much thing to teach you, I won't force you to choose any subject, what can I do is show you what am I doing in case you will interested about my job and do remember, do not give up on your course and we (father and mother) will fully support your choice. "
Before I finished my high school, I start feeling that all the subjects that I have learnt are bored, I am not interested in science, and also because of my dad, I start interested in interior design. The only thing I was worried about is I never learn any drawing technique before, and I was scared about my standard cannot fulfill this course. But the curiosity and interest bring me to the choice of Interior Architecture. I still remember the first day I stepped in the class, what can I feel is all of them are talented, because most of them have ran though foundation in art, and I am the one who straightly intake in degree programme. (my certificate , which is UEC allowed me to study degree without taking foundation in art and my results have fulfill the requirement)
The first semester for me is tough, I have to try my best and work really hard to ensure I can stay in this course and belong to interior architecture this course. I do spent a lot of time to finish my assignments and projects but I never regret choosing design as my study course. My result is not the outstanding one but I do satisfy about the effort and the outcome I got.
Although there are countless of sleepless days I have to go though, but I never regret and do enjoy the process of being an Interior Architect!
